The theme for this exhibition is color and, more specifically, new work produced using color during the last two years - 2023 and 2024. By definition, color is a perception of energy created by specific wavelengths of light that influence how we see things and how we feel about what we see. Color plays a significant psychological role in our moods and our view of the world, rendering it a powerful influence in our lives and, when used in art, it lends itself to expressive and spiritual possibilities with color combinations, hue, lightness and saturation.
The 23/24 In Color Exhibition will be on display for WAMO's annual Fall Fundraiser on October 12, 2024. Sales from this show will benefit both the WAMO Fundraiser and Steinfeld Gallery.
